Cousins
You can see the resemblance
The blood line perpetuating
Repetitious patterns
Of those that have come before
With behaviors of kinship and longing
Fill the heart with joy
At such a reunion
Of food and merriment and catching up
And meeting new, young cousins
In the throws of play
